Register your IP — the legal layer

Vet the manufacturer — the trust layer

• Do they only produce what they design or receive under agreement — or do they also sell a general catalog that your piece could quietly join?
• Will they give you the tooling (or destroy it) at the end of the run, so your mold can't keep producing?
• Do they offer a verifiable record of what they made from your file — or just their word?

Demand provenance — the evidence layer

This is the part almost no contract shop offers, and it's the one that changes your position.
